Trumpf has opened a new laser micro-machining applications laboratory at its headquarters in Farmington, Connecticut. The company says the new lab will enable its TruMicro team to demonstrate the latest laser micro-processing technology for customers, solve specific applications requests and support integration into customers’ product lines from the United States. Equipment at the lab includes the company’s TruMicro Series 5000 and 7000 laserse, which can run infrared, green and UV laser wavelengths for drilling, cutting, ablation and other applications, as well as a diagnostic station with a high-resolution microscope.
