Toyoda to Provide VMCs to CCAT

The company will provide a VMC for vertical machining and CNC demonstrations.

Toyoda Machinery (Arlington Heights, Illinois) will install a vertical machining center at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology’s (CCAT’s) Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in East Hartford, Connecticut. According to CCAT, the Toyoda FV1680 VMC will provide more capability for machining hard metals such as the titanium and Inconel alloys commonly used by the aerospace industry. The AMC plans to use the machine to demonstrate how vertical machining and advanced CNC programming can improve productivity when working with aerospace alloys.
