Gibbs and Associates, a Cimatron company, has announced a partnership with Celeritive technologies to incorporate VoluMill as an integrated option for its GibbsCAM software. According to the company, this collaboration will provide seamless integration between GibbsCAM and VoluMill’s toolpath engine and reduce cycle times.

VoluMill will offer expanded milling solutions that are said to maximize material removal rates by building toolpaths that control cutting factors. For example, the software takes into account factors such as the speed of a tool plunging into the workpiece and material removal rates to incorporate the best option for milling pockets. It also smooths variation in tool loads to enable higher feeds and speeds.
