Leaders-In background

Third Wave Systems has consolidated its productivity center in Plymouth, Minnesota and its headquarters in Minneapolis into a newly-renovated 12,000-square-foot office in Minneapolis. The machining CAE software and services provider says the move will improve support for an expanding staff and growing inventory of machining testing and validation equipment while also promoting a more productive and collaborative work environment.

The facility’s server room will support a high-performance computing cluster with more than 200 CPU cores—capabilities the company plans to double. It will also include training and conference room areas as well as a testing and validation center equipped with various machining and measurement equipment previously housed off-site, including a five-axis HMC from Mori Seiki, a three-axis, micro-milling HMC from Microlution, Kistler dynamometers, a Flexbar Optiflex digital microscope and a Taylor-Hobson Surtonic 25 system.
