Nearly 700 manufacturing leaders gathered at the third edition of the MFG Meeting held in March in Waikoloa, Hawaii. Organized by AMT—The Association For Manufacturing Technology, the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the event’s theme was “Rethink…Refocus…Reinvent…Redefine Convention.” Participants attended economic and technology presentations, breakout sessions, and an inspirational talk, among other events.
The three organizing associations represent technology suppliers, distributors and end users, providing an opportunity for conversations across the manufacturing chain and encouraging an atmosphere of collaboration. Key discussion topics included taxes and economic and regulatory issues, and manufacturers were encouraged to work together to maintain short-term prospects and prepare for long-term strategic adjustments.
The 2014 event will be hosted at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona.
