Student Machinists to Compete at SkillsUSA

The annual competition kicks off in Kansas City, Missouri in late June.

More than 5,400 career and technical education students will compete in more than 94 different trade, technical and leadership skills at the 48th annual SkillsUSA Championships, which are scheduled for June 23-27 in Kansas City, Missouri.
 
The competition is part of the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, a showcase of career and technical education students. Run with the help of industry, trade associations and labor organizations, contests test competencies set by industry. Each student contestant has already won the SkillsUSA competition in their respective state.
 
The list of partners, supporters and sponsors of the CNC milling, turning and precision machining contests include cutting tool manufacturer Sandvik Coromant, machine tool builder Haas Automation, the SME Education Foundation and the National Institute for Metalworking Skills, among others.
