Seco Tools LLC plans to appoint Stefan Steenstrup as president and CEO on Oct. 1, 2021. Steenstrup will replace Fredrik Vejgården, who left Seco to start his own business.

Steenstrup worked for Sandvik for more than 20 years, and since 2017, he has held the role of president of Dormer Pramet. His other experience includes various positions at Sandvik Machining Solutions, including global sales director, business development manager and product service manager.

“I am really excited to start this new challenge and to continue to develop the strong culture within Seco,” says Steenstrup. “I firmly believe that being inclusive allows everyone to contribute fully and to take Seco to the next level.”

Steenstrup holds a master of science in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. According to Seco, his experience and understanding of the machine tool industry will create an excellent foundation to continue the growth of the company around the world.
