Starrag US has moved its Dallas parts warehouse to a site near the company’s Hebron, Kentucky, headquarters in order to provide greater logistical control of its spare parts inventory. The location’s proximity to the nearby Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is expected to ensure prompt parts delivery to North American customers.

The relocation also brings the parts warehouse closer to Starrag’s special tooling and equipment warehouse. This change will allow all parts and necessary tooling shipments to be combined.

Starrag implemented processes for warehouse ramp-up to be ready on time for new machine configurations sold in North America. A monitoring system is in place to visibly record each step of a part order, from the customer’s first request until delivery to the customer’s shop. This data is analyzed quarterly and used for continuous improvement, helping Starrag more accurately to adjust stock levels for customer demand, especially in urgent cases where speed and availability is critical, the company says.
