Leaders-In background

Star SU LLC (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) and machine tool manufacturer FFG Werke GmbH (Göppingen, Germany) have signed a contract extending their partnership for machine tool sales and service in North and South America. The two companies have already worked together for more than 20 years. The continued partnership will take advantage of Star SU's presence in the U.S., Canadian, Mexican and Brazilian automotive, tier supplier, energy and other markets, combined with FFG's brands suiting the target industries.

As a full-range partner, Star SU will be able to administer entire projects for its partner, including initial request, import, on-site installation and commissioning, including financing and leasing in local currency. The company has six service centers in the United States, Mexico and Brazil with a total of approximately 500 employees.

Martin Winterstein, vice president of sales and marketing at FFG, explained that Star SU's footprint in the region, combined with his company's current base in the Americas, will facilitate goals to strengthen FFG's access to North and South America's growing markets.
