Leaders-In background

Waterjet manufacturer WARDJet (Tallmadge, Ohio) has partnered with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing in Sheffield, United Kingdom, to create the largest combination waterjet and CNC milling platform in the world. Designed for research purposes, the GCM series features a five-axis waterjet combined with a 24,000-rpm, five-axis mill. A waterjet tank occupies part of the cutting envelope, while the rest remains open to accommodate very large parts. The machine was built to meet the demands for large cutting envelopes and automated processes needed in the composites industry.
