Siemens and Kuka Announce Cooperation

Siemens Drive Technology Division and Kuka Roboter GmbH announced plans at EMO 2013 to offer Kuka robots integrated with Siemens Sinumerik CNCs for loading and machine tool operations. With this joint approach, the companies hope to develop new markets and better serve industries with automation requirements in loading and machining tasks. The companies plan to develop scalable, integrated solutions for machining workpieces with robots, in particular for lightweight construction.
