Cylindrical grinder manufacturer Shigiya has opened the doors to its new, expanded U.S. headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill. The 12,000-square-foot facility will perform overhaul and retrofit services for the company’s North American customers. The building’s opening was commemorated with a traditional Japanese Kagami-Biraki, in which a barrel of sake is broken open with wooden mallets and served to those present as a gesture of good fortune.
