Seco Purchases PCD Cutting Tool Manufacturer

Seco Tools AB (Fagersta, Sweden) has acquired AOB, a French manufacturer of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) cutting tools. Based near Nantes in Mortagne-sur-Sevre, the acquired company has special expertise in machining composite materials such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and supplies tools to the aerospace, automotive and woodworking industries. Seco says the acquisition will strengthen its position in the aerospace industry.
