Sapa Extrusions, part of aluminum profile company Sapa Group, has completed the expansion of its North American facilities in Delhi, Louisiana. The company says the expansion, which includes a 50,000-square-foot industrial building leased from the city, will enhance its existing operations and enable it to bid for petroleum and chemical industry work. It also expects the expansion to create 37 new jobs at the facility and 65 throughout the state.

The expanded facility will house the company’s Research Engineering Development and Design (REDD) Team operations, which have been relocated from Magnolia, Arkansas. The REDD team manufactures aluminum access products such as wheelchair ramps and pedestrian bridges. The Team’s equipment relocation, as well as infrastructure preparation at the new facility, was funded in part by a $300,000 performance-based grant from the Louisiana Economic Development’s (LED) Business Expansion and Retention Group (BERG).
