View MoreRöhm (Lawrenceville, Georgia) and ATS Systems (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) have partnered to provide their workholding and machining accessory products, as well as sales and service support to customers. Under the agreement, ATS’s sales and service staff will provide support for Röhm’s power workholding products, including chucks, cylinders, steady rests, mandrels, tool clamping systems and robot grippers. ATS will also continue to offer its collet chucks, quick-change chucks, air chucks, rotary tables, bar feeders and Cooljet high-pressure coolant line.
This partnership unites the products, staff resources and business efforts of the two companies. Röhm retains its product brand-identity, as well as its invoicing, inventory and product management responsibilities. Röhm’s technical staff will reinforce ATS’s efforts with relevant product support and custom solutions for specialized applications.
The partnership launches with the start of a countrywide tour of Driving Innovation–A Mobile Technology Center, a demonstration showroom housed in a 53-foot tractor-trailer, featuring workholding, automation and machine tool accessories. The tour will showcase new technologies from Röhm, ATS and other providers geared toward particular industry sectors and applications, such as oil and gas, automotive, and aerospace. There will be product presentations, training sessions and live demonstrations. Specialists from both companies will be on hand to answer questions about products and the new partnership.
The tour’s first stop will be at the MFG Meeting in Orlando, Florida, which takes place March 4-7, and is co-hosted by AMT–The Association For Manufacturing Technology and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA). From there, the tour will travel to various locations and manufacturing events within the continental United States. For tour information, visit rohm-ats.com.
