Nikon Metrology (Brighton, Michigan) and Verisurf Software (Anaheim, California) have reached an agreement that enables manufacturers to drive all Nikon portable metrology devices from Verisurf’s common software platform. Supported devices from Nikon Metrology (Brighton, Michigan) include the Laser Radar, K-series Optical CMMs, the MCA II articulated arm and the iGPS.
Offering a single inspection software platform for all Nikon portable metrology devices can save time otherwise spent learning different interfaces while reducing software maintenance and support costs, says Ernie Husted, president of Verisurf. The software also provides fully automated and programmable measurements, adds Doug Kappler, director of Nikon Metrology Large Scale Division.
