PMA and Fabricating.com Create an In-Person Sourcing Event
Leading manufacturers established relationships with top-quality suppliers at Sourcing Solutions event.
Honda Aircraft Company, Navistar, Nissin Brake, Whirlpool and other leading manufacturers were at the Sourcing Solutions event this past September in Cincinnati, Ohio, to establish business connections with more than 30 contract suppliers.
In support of American manufacturing, Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and Fabricating.com collaborated to create a unique, in-person sourcing event designed to introduce major buyers of custom manufacturing parts to qualified, pre-screened U.S.-based suppliers.
Suppliers met with qualified buyers of contract manufacturing products and services in one location to save both time and travel expense. “The ‘reverse’ trade show concept was very effective and efficient,” says Samual Ibrahim from Helander Metal Spinning. “The day I returned to my office there was an RFQ waiting from a contact I made at the conference,” he says.
PMA offers the program as an extension of its member service offerings, which are designed to assist member companies in growing and diversifying their businesses.
“We’re all about reshoring and we advocate personal contact, both online and in-person,” says Frank Russo, CEO Fabricating.com. “Sourcing Solutions was a natural continuation of our core business—facilitating connections between American buyers and suppliers.”
