Surfware, the developer of Surfcam CAD/CAM software, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a patent for its Engagement Milling Technology. The company has incorporated that technology into its Surfcam product line as TrueMill, which is designed to increase material removal rates, decrease cycle times and prolong tool life by managing the angle at which the tool engages with the workpiece.
“This patent protects the intellectual property and proprietary technology that we have developed over many years,” says Steven Diehl, president and CEO of Surfware. “The patent provides strong protection for current and future versions of TrueMill.”
