Cutting tool manufacturer OSG Tap & Die has established a new division dedicated to aerospace industry manufacturing. Nicknamed the “A Team,” the new division is intended to enable the company to communicate seamlessly across research, development and sales channels to provide engineered solutions for difficult aerospace machining challenges.

The company says all of its aerospace tooling features metallurgy and cutting geometries designed to increase productivity, reliability and tool life while reducing machining time and scrap. Also available is a custom ultra-fined diamond coating, which the company says is a prerequisite for composite machining.
