Open Mind Technologies (Wessling, Germany), developer of the hyperMill CAD/CAM system, has renewed its agreement with MachineWorks (Sheffield, U.K.) for the use of the latter company’s simulation and verification algorithms.

The renewal comes after the former company decided to compare various options for simulation and verification, including its own in-house solutions.
Open Mind has been using MachineWorks algorithms since 2002 for, among other applications, high-end jobs in the automotive and aerospace industry, the company says. MachineWorks provides material removal simulation within the hyperMill graphics window with dynamic rotation and zooming. It also produces a machined stock model for further analysis.
