Okuma has opened the first building of its new manufacturing facilities in Oguchi, Japan, which will replace the facility demolished in 2012. The new campus will produce a range of CNC machine products in short-run production. According to the company, the facility is designed for increased efficiency to enable shorter delivery times, reduced costs and enhanced market competitiveness. The new buildings are also being built for environmental efficiency and will include features such as solar panels and natural lighting.
