Leaders-In background

Workshops for Warriors and DMG/Mori Seiki University (DMSU) both recently earned accreditation from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) under exceptional circumstances. Workshops for Warriors (San Diego, California) completed all accreditation requirements in under nine months, a possible record for the process, according to NIMS. Meanwhile, DMSU’s accreditation makes DMG/Mori Seiki (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) the third corporation and the first machine tool company to achieve NIMS accreditation, the company says.

NIMS accreditation focuses on CNC machining and machine maintenance, and requires that all trainers gain credentials in a range of NIMS skills certifications. Organizations are evaluated according to program purpose, facilities, equipment, program features, administration and management, instructional staff, and trainee credentialing.
