New Robot Safety Standards Debut at RIA Event
A draft of the new R15.06 (2011) Robot Safety Standard will be publicly unveiled at the 22nd annual National Robotic Safety Conference, which is scheduled for September 27-19 at the Indianapolis Marriot East in Indianapolis, Indiana.Hosted by the Robotic Industries Association and a group of other sponsors, the conference will feature sessions including an introduction to the standard; using robots to improve safety; and market position and contextual risk assessment.

A draft of the new R15.06 (2011) Robot Safety Standard will be publicly unveiled at the 22nd annual National Robotic Safety Conference, which is scheduled for September 27-19 at the Indianapolis Marriot East in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Hosted by the Robotic Industries Association and a group of other sponsors, the conference will feature sessions including an introduction to the standard; using robots to improve safety; and market position and contextual risk assessment. Additional sessions include an OSHA view on robot safety, safeguarding and safety controls. Other conference highlights include case studies, a standards committee panel discussion and a safety primer.
