New EDMs Draw Big Crowd
Mitsubishi EDM unveiled its new MV Series EDMs at a recent open house.

More than 600 customers and distributors attended the Mitsubishi EDM open house at MC Machinery Systems’ headquarters April 25-26, making it the largest event in the Wood Dale, Illinois-based company’s history. The event marked the debut of the new MV Series wire EDM, which features cylindrical linear shaft motors, a redesigned automatic wire rethreading system, an enhanced power supply and high-speed servo system communication, among other advances. The company also introduced the Diamond Cut line of three-axis VMCs for general milling applications, as well as the MW3X abrasive waterjet, which is said to be well-suited for production environments and new waterjet users.
