Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) has installed a second Jet Edge waterjet cutting system at its fabrication shop in Cornelius, North Carolina, continuing its partnership with the St. Michael, Minnesota-based manufacturer. The EDGE X-5 five-axis waterjet system complements the shop’s existing three-axis machine, installed in 2008. The racing team uses the waterjets to cut parts for its more than 50 NASCAR Sprint Cup Cars built annually.
