Mitutoyo America has begun the construction of its new corporate headquarters in Aurora, Illinois. The 159,300-square-foot facility will include a M3 Solution center for interactive product demonstrations; an A2LA Accredited Calibration Lab with field service and repair departments; a Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology educational facility; office areas; and warehouse space. The building was made possible through Aurora’s recently approved Tax Increment Financing district, developed to stimulate economic development and enhance community vitality. The headquarters is expected to open in the fall of 2013 for the celebration of Mitutoyo’s 50th anniversary.
