Mitsubishi EDM Partners With Community College

Aspiring engineers, designers, toolmakers and other students at Oakland Community College (Auburn Hills, Michigan) will have the opportunity to train on the latest Mitsubishi wire and CNC sinker EDM machines. Through a new partnership with Mitsubishi EDM, the college’s Advanced Technology Center will integrate the company’s EDM technology into its Robotics/Automated System curriculum.

The technology center will also serve as Mitsubishi’s local training and demonstration center and provide local support to customers in Michigan and Ontario. Mitsubishi will also continue to provide EDM training classes and educational “Demo Days” in Auburn Hills.

“This is a great win-win scenario for Mitsubishi, Oakland Community College, and the local shops because the talent pool rises exponentially with consistent high-level training in real world environments for young students,” says Dan Meehan, account manager for Mitsibushi.
