Mitsubishi Brings Manufacturing to America

Beginning in early 2009, MC Machinery Systems will manufacture all machines in the Mitsubishi Waterjet line in the United States. The company says its new waterjet facility in Wixom, Michigan, will help control costs, allowing the machines to be priced more competitively. Additionally, the company says that facility’s close proximity to its corporate headquarters in Chicago will ensure better quality control and enable faster upgrades and modifications to machine design.

Coinciding with this news is the announcement that the company will introduce the second generation of its waterjet machines. Based on the successful launch of the original waterjet line, which broadened the company’s supply chain, this next generation will deliver technology upgrades that provide additional performance and reliability, the company says.
