MFG.com Expands Global Presence

 Translation services provider Lionbridge has announced that it has secured a relationship with MFG.com, an online marketplace serving the global manufacturing community. With the agreement, Lionbridge is localizing the MFG.com marketplace into 10 languages to expand its online services into Japan, India and Brazil. To manage the localization process, MFG.com is using Freeway, the Lionbridge Web-based translation management platform. With a simple Web services connection, MFG.com will be able to automatically push content directly from its system to Lionbridge product managers for translation. Once translated, the content is automatically reinserted into the MFG.com environment. MFG.com's platform serves as an online supplier relationship management tool that helps determine market pricing. The technology connects buyers with suppliers while directing collaboration, quoting, due diligence and analysis processes.
