Methods Machine Tools will host two multitasking machining seminars December 16 at its Sudbury, Massachusetts Technology Center. The complementary seminars will feature new multitasking strategies for precision parts manufacturers and are available in two time tracks: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The first seminar will demonstrate how the Nakamura Super NTMX lathe can change how machinists approach complex part processing. The machine features a twin-ATC design that is said to make it easy for operators of any skill level to take advantage of B-axis machining.

The second seminar, titled “The Tools You Need to Succeed,” will highlight methods of reducing setup time with multitasking equipment via live machining demonstrations. Attendees are encouraged to bring prints and parts for review with Methods application experts.

Other Nakamura turning center demonstrations at the seminars showcase 3-turret, 3-Y-axis machining on the Super NTY3-Jumbo, thread whirling on the Super NTY3 and quick-change on the WT-100. Also on display will be various tooling equipment, including workholding products from Hainbuch; KM quick-change tooling from Kennametal; milling units from Heimatec; the Capto system from Sandvik; and post-processing software from CAMplete.
