Machine tool builder Mazak (Florence, Kentucky) says the continued upswing in business in the Midwest has spurred plans to expand its Midwest headquarters and technology center in Schaumburg, Illinois. The expanded facility will feature a new auditorium space, more room for seminars, an area for customer turnkey projects and test cuts, and expanded machine tool technology demonstration facilities. A grand opening is targeted for April 2012.
The expansion coincides with other recent investments, including a new facility in Houston and production expansion at the company’s manufacturing campus in Florence, Kentucky.
