Leaders-In background

Makino (Mason, Ohio) has established an aerospace engine technology group to better support customers working with exotic aerospace alloys for the jet engine market. The group will coordinate aerospace engine projects utilizing grinding, five-axis milling and EDM processes related to jet engine and turbo machinery components. Its goal is to create techniques for faster machining of jet engine components that can meet the fuel-efficiency requirements of newer aircraft designs.

Billy Grobe will serve as manager of the aerospace engine group. Mr. Grobe has worked at Makino for the past 25 years, most recently focusing on aerospace grinding applications and the development of aerospace process solutions.
