This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Kurt AngLock Vise and Kurt Industrial Products (Minneapolis, Minnesota). Designed at the same time CNC machines became the norm, the AngLock provided the workholding accuracy and repeatability needed for more advanced machine tools, says William Kuban, CEO and son of the company’s founder.

For the anniversary, Kurt is displaying a special “360° Product Advantage” logo, which represents the hundreds of workholding products the company offers today. These include multiple-station CNC vises, five-axis vises, rotary table workholding and more. Recent developments at the company include reaching the milestone of 500,000 vises sold in 2002 and its move into a new facility two years ago.
