Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett has selected Carlos Cardoso, president and CEO of cutting tool manufacturer Kennametal (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) to help lead the Governor’s Manufacturing Council as part of the Team Pennsylvania Foundation-led initiative.
The council’s goal is to position the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be a more competitive state in which to do business. Its findings will be issued along with policy suggestions in a report to the executive and legislative branches. Areas of focus include the tax and regulatory climate, talent and innovation, research and development, energy and international opportunities.
