Jergens announces that General Manager Matt Schron will expand his role and has been appointed to the position of vice president. As an executive of the business — overseeing the workholding, lifting and specialty fasteners divisions — Schron’s promotion will allow for expedited execution of agreements and contracts that support the company’s key business initiatives.

Schron has been Jergens’ general manager since early 2019, and before that was general manager for Jergens Industrial Supply (JIS), sold to PT Solutions in August of this year. In his more than 20-year career at Jergens, Matt has worked in three of the four divisions, including numerous positions in marketing, product management and sales.

“Our focus is to continue to grow sales, not only in the U.S. but also every other major market in the world,” Schron says. “We are continuing our strategic acquisitions that center around our core business. At the same time, we are committed to invest in our engineering teams to support customer applications and new product development.” He adds, “We’re continuing to shorten the time needed for important business decisions in order to be even more responsive for our customers and suppliers.”

Before joining Jergens, Schron attended Ohio University, graduating with a bachelor’s of science in marketing with a sales certification. Continuing his education at Cleveland State University, he graduated with an MBA in 2007 before joining the company. Schron and his wife, Kelly, live in the Cleveland, Ohio, area with their three daughters.
