Italian Engineering Scholarship Honors Deceased Employee
The Ing. Francesco Mulazzi scholarship will be awarded to students earning a Laurea Magistrale in mechanical engineering.
Mandelli Sistemi SpA (Piacenza, Italy), a manufacturer of horizontal machining centers, is remembering Francesco Mulazzi, a mechanical design manager who recently died, by creating opportunities for young mechanical engineers to study and be introduced into the machine tool world.
The company has announced a scholarship named after Mr. Mulazzi for students who will earn a Laurea Magistrale (a type of postsecondary academic degree) in mechanical engineering during the 2016-17 academic year.
Upon graduation, the student who is awarded the scholarship will have the opportunity to carry out a six-month training internship at the Mandelli Sistemi plant in Piacenza. Additionally, the winner of the scholarship will be awarded a total of 5,000 euros in two yearly installments, the second being contingent on grades during the first academic year.
The company intends the scholarship to be awarded annually as a memorial.
