Intertech 2011 Announces Keynote Speakers

Dr. Dean Ho, who is known for his work with nanodiamonds, will give the keynote address at Intertech 2011, the International Conference on Diamond, Cubic Boron Nitride and other superabrasive materials.
 
The biennial event, scheduled for May 2-4 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, is dedicated to technological advancement and application development. Organizers say it will provide a blend of commercial and technical topics and serve as a global “meeting of the minds” for technologists and business leaders.
 
Dr. Ho an associate professor in the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is also a full member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University in Illinois, where he directs the Laboratory for Nanoscale Biotic-Abiotic Systems Engineering (N-BASE). His work with nanodiamonds includes the development of a process that uses the materials for targeted delivery of drugs into cancerous tissues.  
 
Dr. Ho joins other distinguished business leaders in the industrial diamond industry, including Mitsuhiro “Chip” Goto of Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal Corporation, Walter Huehn of Advanced Materials and Technologies Division – Element Six, and Mar Schweizer of Diamond Innovations.
