Exact Metrology, a division of In-Place Machining Company (IPM), has announced that IPM has acquired Oasis Alignment Services. IPM is a leader in on-site machining, diamond wire cutting and industrial measurement services. The acquisition of Oasis, as well as of Exact Metrology in July of this year, contributes to IPM’s growing measurement and alignment division.
Oasis Alignment Services provides 3D precision measurement, machine alignment and mechanical services out of nine service centers located in N.H., N.C., Fla., Ohio, Wis., Calif., Wash. and Québec and Ontario, Canada. Its fleet of precise, portable metrology instruments includes Leica AT960 and AT403 laser trackers, portable measuring arms, laser scanners and optical tooling.
With the acquisitions of Oasis Alignment Services and Exact Metrology, IPM expands its precision field services to include a total of 18 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
“This is a really exciting time for In-Place Machining Company. We now have one of the largest, if not the largest (onsite) traveling, portable metrology team across North America,” says Dean Solberg, vice president of Metrology Sales and Services. “We can now do jobs that require dozens of people across multiple lines of metrology tools.”
