Fabtech show management has announced a shift in dates for the 2011 edition of North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. The show will open Monday, November 14 rather than the originally scheduled Sunday, November 13. It will run through Thursday, November 17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

The change is due to a number of factors, organizers say, including an increase in exhibitor participation and demand for larger booth spaces. Additionally, the extra day provides more setup time for exhibitors that plan to display highly automated machinery.

Fabtech 2011 is expected to draw 30,000 attendees to view equipment from 1,200 exhibitors occupying more than 450,000 square feet of floor space.
