As indexes remain volatile, manufacturers are continuing to keep a watchful eye on spending. In response, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider Global Shop Solutions will use a virtual platform to host its 2009 users conference. Scheduled for August 6-8, this year’s conference is titled “Profiting in Tough Times.”
Company leadership has made the decision to move to a virtual format for this year’s conference based on a survey conducted with past conference attendees. Results show that many customers are hesitant to commit to any additional expenses amid ongoing economic concerns.
“We’ve built our success on listening to our customers,” says Dusty Alexander, company president. “We think this is a perfect balance between providing the education and classes they want while being mindful of economic constraints.”
During the free, four-day virtual conference, customers can learn about product updates, new features and ways to make each application work better for their shops. There is no limit on the number of participants from each company nor on the number of classes attendees can take.
