Eriez, a provider of magnetic, vibratory and inspection technology, says it will expand operations in the United States, Canada, China and India to address growing global demand for its products.
In the United States, the company purchased a 114,000-square-foot building located approximately 15 miles from its world headquarters facility in Erie, Pennsylvania. The facility will house the company’s 5-Star Service Center and handle manufacturing of products including recycling systems, column flotation cells and Hydroflow fluid filtration and recycling equipment.
Eriez Minerals Flotation Group (EMFG), headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, will move from its current location to a larger nearby building by early 2012. The company says new facility is custom-built to service EMFG’s needs and will enable it to build larger proprietary equipment in-house rather than using subcontractors. EMFG equipment includes flotation columns for minerals and liquids, StackCell high-efficiency mechanical flotation cells, Hydrofloat coarse particle flotation cells, gas injection systems and mineral processing test equipment.
Eriez-China will add another manufacturing operation in Tianjin to supplement its current Qinhuangdao plant. The facility will provide an additional 10,905 square meters of space, including 1,650 square meters of office space. It will be employed to build Hydroflow filtration systems, suspended magnets, recycling products and other large equipment.
