Eighteen Earn Certification at SMTCL-Americas Open House
The two-day event included one day of sales training.
SMTCL-Americas, a subsidiary of machine tool manufacturer SYMG, kicked off the beginning of spring with a sales training course and open house in the City of Industry at the California Technical Center. During the sales training day instructed by COO Jerry McCarty, eighteen individuals became certified on SMTCL machines. According to the company, these certifications create a larger distributor network in California and other regions to better service potential customers.
The Open House featured six different SMTCL machines with demos: the VMC850B, VMC1000B, VMC1600B, VMC2100B, Vivaturn4 and PBC130. Featured companies included FANUC, Siemens, Calmotion, GibbsCAM, ChipBlaster and Blum Novotest. Also on display was the Cal Poly Pomona Formula SAE car that was built by students on their SMTCL VMC850.
