Leaders-In background

Edgecam is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Founded as Pathtrace in 1983, the company changed its name in 1995 when the Edgecam software was first released. The initial version of Edgecam took a DOS-based textual menu-driven system and gave it a Windows look and feel with graphical icons rather than textual menus. The company name was changed to reflect Edgecam’s departure from previous, DOS-based brands. Edgecam became part of the Planit Group in 2006, which in turn was acquired by Vero Software in 2011. Edgecam will celebrate its 30th anniversary with reseller conferences in Prague, Phoenix and Bangkok.
