Eastec 2013 Boasts Increased Attendance

The 2013 event had an increased turnout over 2011.

In mid-May, 12,560 attendees from 43 states attended the three-day Eastec trade show at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts. According to a preliminary report released by SME, the biennial show saw 16 percent more attendees than the previous event.
 
Nearly 700 exhibitors covered a diverse range of technologies in the show’s four buildings. The most popular area of interest was tooling, which attracted 32 percent of attendees. Other areas of interest included machining centers, milling and boring machines, which attracted 31 percent of attendees; CNC controls and accessories, cutting tools and accessories and milling technologies, which each attracted 29 percent of attendees; and 3D imaging, deburring and edge finishing, and automation technologies, which attracted 18, 18 and 17 percent of attendees, respectively
