DuBois Chemical Acquires American Finishing Resources (AFR)

DuBois Chemicals (Cincinnati, Ohio) has completed its acquisition of American Finishing Resources (AFR, Chilton, Wisconsin). The deal is said to combine DuBois’ paint pretreatment expertise with AFR’s coating line fixtures, material handling and coating removal solutions. According to DuBois, the acquisition will enable it to expand services, chemical solutions and lean manufacturing capabilities while reducing total cost and providing quality improvements for customers. In particular, the company will be better able to assist customers in increasing paint line transfer efficiency and throughput, DuBois says.

In addition to AFR, DuBois has also recently acquired Perkins Products, Galaxy Associates and Angler Industries, expanding its offerings of metalworking fluids and surface treatments.
