DP Technology has renewed agreements that expand the functionality of its CAM software via integration with third-party applications. Through an agreement with Spatial Corp. a provider of 3D software components for technical applications, the company will extend the use of the InterOp Suite in its Esprit CAM application. Esprit 2009 and Esprit Mold v10 both include the suite, which is designed to provide interoperability between CAD and CAM formats, as a standard feature of the product line. InterOp supports the direct native transfer of ACIS-based CAD data into the Esprit CAM system. Additionally, the suite is used for various optional CAD data translators in Esprit Mold.

A renewed agreement with Siemens PLM Software allows the company to extend the use of Parasolid, a geometric modeling component for demanding 3D applications, in Esprit. Previously an optional product in the standard base license of the Esprit 2000 series, the Parasolid Designer level functionality will now offer advanced solid modeling capabilities as a standard component of the software. Additionally, Esprit Mold will use Parasolid Communicator as part of its standard base license for the first time.

Existing Esprit customers with active software maintenance contracts will receive both of these upgrades at no additional cost.
