CMM Rental Program Requires No Purchase Commitment
Xspect Solutions (Wixom, Michigan) has introduced a new rental program for X-Orbit CMMs produced in the United States. Keith Mills, president of Xspect Solutions, says the program was created to help manufacturers that are struggling to justify new capital equipment purchases as program schedules and quantities for parts suppliers shrink. Through the Rent2Measure program, manufacturers can use a Wenzel X-Orbit CMM with a Renishaw PH10T/TP20 probe on their shop floors for 6 to 36 months.

Through the Rent2Measure program, manufacturers can use a Wenzel X-Orbit CMM with a Renishaw PH10T/TP20 probe on their shop floors for 6 to 36 months. Additional features include a suite of OpenDMIS software, an MCR20 styli change rack, installation service and a CMM calibration program as well as 3 days of training for two operators. The company also includes the CMM XtraCare package, which covers virtually all breakdowns and provides software upgrades, an on-site Dell PC warranty, a Renishaw probing warranty and application and software support.
Typical cost to rent a CMM is $2,975 per month. The program requires no long-term purchase commitment, although renters can apply 65 percent of payments to offset the purchase price of the CMM at any point during the rental period.
