CAD/CAM developer Missler Software has announced that its TopSolid software is compatible with Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system.

According to the company, the software will benefit from the capabilities of Windows 7 on next-generation, touchscreen software, a development that will make 3D mechanical design easier to use. It adds that optimized hardware and software is essential in the current CAD/CAM world, in which 3D data is increasingly complex and performance is a key issue. Another new improvement for TopSolid users is a new taskbar that is easier to see, more flexible and more powerful.

“From core video architecture improvements to the new multi-touch user interface extensions, Microsoft has provided a solid foundation for high performance,” says Christian Arber, Missler CEO.
