Switzerland-based Bystronic recently celebrated the grand opening of the new headquarters of its North American subsidiary in Elgin, Illinois. According to the company, the strategic advantages of locating in the Midwest and the logistic resources of nearby Chicago will help better serve the North American market.
The 48,300-square-foot structure features 10,000 square feet of office space, a 14,000-square-foot showroom and a 24,300-square-foot spare parts and logistics area. The facility will serve as both a customer service hub and as a home to the company’s marketing, sales and training operations. Live product demonstrations will be conducted in the showroom, while on-site classrooms will offer both standard and customized courses for programmers, machine operators and maintenance personnel.
