ANCA Launches Educational Grinding Show
ANCA’s ANCA Academy will cover a new technical topic each episode — from set up through to grinding. The educational videos will help ANCA machine users understand new applications and features.
ANCA has launched a monthly show, the ANCA Academy, which will cover a new technical topic each episode — from set up through to grinding. The educational videos will help ANCA machine users understand new applications and features.
Hugh Ingham, an ANCA mechanical engineer, hosts the new show. He says, “I love working at ANCA because we design and apply really interesting and effective technology. It is important that we make sure we are helping our customers and those interested in getting into cutting tool grinding produce the best possible product faster, more accurately and at the lowest possible cost.”
The first episode covers the fundamentals of PCA collet adaptors, and how to use them to reduce setup times and increase productivity. Ingham says that after watching the episode, viewers will be able to confidently set up ANCA PCA for reduced radial and axial runout and produce long and stable batches.
Other topics included in ANCA Academy show will be clamping force, PCA adaptors, and how to mount the collet and adjust radial runout. The show will provide training on both brand new and older ANCA machines. ANCA is reportedly accepting topic suggestions for the show from viewers and customers.
The ANCA Academy, which will be hosted on the company’s YouTube channel, expands the company’s current services, including Tool Tip Tuesdays, a monthly newsletter, the ANCA Club and face-to-face training.
